My Favorite Summer Outfits

As it starts to get colder here in Oklahoma, I have began to reminisce about summer in Houston. Being at home in the summer heat was so refreshing this year. After a long freshman year, it was so nice to return home, be with my family, and have some relaxation before I headed back to Norman in August. Today, I want to look back at my outfits from this summer - showing you some of my favorite clothing pieces and accessories. Between vacations, work, and family time, I was kept busy this year... which means a lot of outfits for different occasions.

My first outfit was a dinner outfit with some of my best high school friends. My dress was from a small boutique in Houston called Style Junkie Boutique. The length and chain detail set this dress apart for me and I had to have it. My bag is also from Style Junkie Boutique. It was hand painted and is one of my favorite bags. It is one of a kind and I think that makes it so special. My shoes were the Texas Golden Goose sneakers. I layered various gold and silver bracelets, necklaces, and rings. My favorite part of this outfit were my oversized glasses from Warby Parker. All of my friends loved this outfit and gave me the confidence boost that I needed after a rough freshman year.

My second outfit was for my sister's sixteenth birthday dinner. We went to our favorite local steakhouse, Perry's. It is a must when I am home in Houston. I am wearing a white ruffled sleeve top from Nordstrom, which I wore so much this summer. It is a basic in my closet and I wear it all the time. My shorts are from Nordstrom, as well. They are the brand KUT from the Kloth. They are the most comfy jean shorts I have ever worn. These shorts are the perfect mix of modest and cute. My sandals are Jack Rodgers. I wear these all the time. They are perfect to wear day-to-day or even to take to the beach. My scarf is from Fendi and has been such a fun piece to style this year. It is the perfect addition to a simple outfit like this.

My third outfit is for Father's Day! My family and I went to our favorite oyster house in Houston, called Pier Six. This restaurant is right on the water on the bay, so it is the best atmosphere for a special occasion. My button up is from Gap. I don't think I could ever have enough button up's. They are staples in my closet. My shorts are the same from the last outfit. My shoes are Golden Gooses and are a super fun piece that I have in my closet. I also have to mention how cute my sisters look in their outfits.

My fourth outfit is a dress from Anthropologie. This dress was jungle themed and had so many fun colors and patterns covering it. I wore this as a guest to a philanthropic fashion show that I attended. My bag is from Louis Vuitton and left me hands free so I could enjoy the raffles, games, and dinner that was provided. I stacked gold and silver bracelets from Lewis Jewelers and I was ready to go. This was one of the best days I had this summer. I loved getting to watch a fashion show and assist in raising money for the city of Houston.

My last and final outfit was a total showstopper. I attended one of my best friend's coronation ball. This was such a special day because two years from that day, I was coronated in the same building. Sydney looks beautiful in her gown. My dress is from Saks Fifth Avenue. I wore black stilettos in order to give the dress all of the recognition it deserved. I wore jewelry from Lewis Jewelers, again. Such a fun and magical night to celebrate all of the princesses and princes.
